The Football League has published an update on how well Hereford United has coped with the challenge of goals. The GOALS report is a review of the work of the Football League and its member clubs, as they improve the supporters' experience.
Promises for 2006/07 and progress update:
1) To reduce ticket prices for families and children:
Hereford United introduced a special season ticket for families and children in the family stand.
2) To increase consultation with supporter groups.
Monthly meetings were arranged for all groups of supporters which have proved very successful.
3.) To address racism and equality issues.
Contact was made with our Local Racism Officer and the Club worked very closely with him. No problems were reported last season.
Promises for 2007/2008 are:
1.) To regularly consult with all groups of supporters on ticket prices and offers to children.
2.) To offer free tickets for schools through our Community Officer, who works closely with schools in our area, to every home League Match. Free tickets will also be offered to children in groups (ie local football teams).
3.) To offer free tickets for children attending HUFC football courses and Football in the Community courses. Offer discounted child’s ticket with full paying adult. Increase support in the community by arranging schools visits and tours of the ground and making players available to visitors.
