Good Spirit at Hereford says Shergar

Sherjill MacDonald has told the Western Daily Press that he is looking forward to playing plenty of games during his time at Edgar Street. He scored two goals last Saturday against Dagenham in his first start for the Bulls.

"The reason I have come to Hereford was to play lots of games and I am looking forward to the challenge," he said.

"It was nice to play up front but normally I play on the left.

"There is a good spirit here and I felt it in the first minute when I walked into the dressing room, so I am happy. I think Hereford can win promotion as they are a good passing team, and I am looking forward to the next month."

Manager Graham Turner commented:

"He will get sharper than that. He has pace and a good technique and there will be a lot more to come from him.

"Gary Hooper combined well with him and he will get fitter with first-team football, which he hasn't had a lot of at West Bromwich."
