News Round Up

Grimsby have made their second summer signing, adding James Hunt from Bristol Rovers on a two year deal. Hunt fell out with the Pirates management mid-season and spent the remainder at the Mariners. The club are also the only League Two side to announce a price rise so far. Matchday prices will rise by £1 next season, meaning adult admission will be £16 and £18.

Rochdale have released Mark Jackson and Clive Moyo-Modise. Jackson was the other player signed from Kidderminster in January 2006 with Iyseden Christie for a combined £50,000 but he never got to grips with League Two football. Six others have been offered new terms.

Ex-Bulls loanee Karl Hawley is expected to leave Carlisle on a Bosman free transfer after rejecting their 'final' contract offer. Several Championship clubs are lining up for the 26 year old, with Ipswich leading the race.

Torquay have agreed a 12 month extension with main sponsors Sparkworld, who have been shirt sponsors for six years. Two consortiums are in place to take over the club, with owner Mike Bateson expecting a deal to be done within 10 days.

Wycombe have released former Bulls trialist Matthew Barnes-Homer. The 21 year old former Wolves trainee had a trial at Edgar Street in late 2004, shortly after playing for Aldershot against the Bulls in a Conference game. He spent time with several Midlands non-league sides before being given a chance with Wycombe.
