We must start well -Turner

Hereford United manager Graham Turner has said that the Bulls must start well tomorrow. With a young squad there may be a few players with nerves.

"If you go five minutes without touching the ball when you do eventually get it you're uptight," said Turner.

"If you get plenty of contact with the ball you grow in confidence and get nice and relaxed.

"So the important thing is when we get the ball we've got to be prepared to be patient and grow in confidence. Get a foothold in the game before anything else happens.

"We know Cardiff are in good form, but my main concern is ourselves.

"If we can perform on Sunday to our maximum potential, and if we get a little bit of luck, then I think we’ve got a good chance of going through.

"We put on an absolutely disgraceful performance in the 4-0 defeat at Chesterfield last Monday, but that might be no bad thing.

"We've got to play out of our skins, there's no doubt about that.

"We've got to have everybody right on top of their game and hope that Cardiff are slightly below it."

"We know they’ve got some really good players. There are the likes of Steve McPhail, who is a cultured midfielder, while they've got Hasselbaink, who has played at the top level, and Joe Ledley, who is highly-rated.

"Cardiff are in a good seam of form at the moment too and picking up some very good results, but it is a great game for us.

"It is an opportunity for our players to perform on the big stage and pit themselves against a group of players who are in the Championship.

"If Cardiff come with their A-game then they'll probably beat us, but, if they don’t, I think we've got half a chance."
