Peterboro retained fourth place with a 2-0 win at Rochdale, who are replaced in the play-off zone by Wycombe who won at Accrington 2-0 - in front of just 1,200. Chesterfield drew 1-1 with Chester.
Down the bottom, Mansfield drop to the bottom of the table after losing 3-2 to Brentford. New signings scored for both sides, with Nathan Elder scoring at both ends and Jefferson Louis also scoring on his debut. Lincoln beat Shrewsbury 2-1 to move away from the drop zone, but Dagenham lost 1-0 at home to Stockport to be just two points clear of the trapdoor.
