Northampton won 2-0 at Bournemouth to push the Cobblers up to 16th, while Cheltenham drew 1-1 at Bradford to close within a point of the Bulls but having played two games more. Shrewsbury won 1-0 at Chesterfield to return to the play-off spots, though their rivals have up to three games in hand, and Grimsby drew 1-1 with Bury to cut their gap to safety to four points having played two more games than Lincoln.
In the Conference yesterday Stevenage took the lead at the top of the table with a 4-1 win over Cambridge, with Oxford a point behind with three games in hand.
