Tierney set to Referee at Darlington

Paul Tierney is set to referee tomorrow's League Two match at Darlington where Hereford United are the visitors.

The Bulls have already met Tierney this season. That was at Edgar Street for the game against Bournemouth which the home side won 2-1 with both goals from Mark Pugh.

To date this season Tierney has been in charge of just 19 games in which he has given out 5 red and 54 yellow cards.

Darlington is the most remote venue from Hereford for a match this season and it is rather surprising that the football authorities had selected this game to take place on an Easter Monday given the distance.

The HUISA coach is due to leave Edgar Street at 8.30 am some six and a half hours before kick-off.

The team coach is due to set off this afternoon. Given the distance the squad will stay in a hotel tonight.
