News Round-Up

Woking will play Bath in the Conf South play-off final after they held off Dover with a goalless draw today to win the tie 2-1 on aggregate. Bath beat Chelmsford 1-0 to clinch a 3-0 aggregate win. Worcester hope to win a reprieve from relegation from Conf South with the impending resignation of Grays down to the Ryman League. They are expected to be put into Conf North if their reprieve is confirmed, with an excess of southern sides dropping out of the Conference.

Mansfield will share their Field Mill home with local side Glapwell Town after agreeing a one year deal. The move helps the Stags to maintain the same playing budget for next season. They have already sold over 1,000 season tickets for next term. Luton have announced that their play-off second leg with York on Monday is a sell out. A five figure crowd is expected for the game.

Grimsby have sold out their 1,430 allocation of tickets for their final match at Burton in the wake of their win over Barnet today. They hope to secure more tickets for the game. Jimmy Quinn has applied for the vacant managerial post at Shrewsbury. Also saying he has made an inquiry is Mark Venus, who has been no.2 to Tony Mowbray at West Brom and Celtic.

Boston have moved a step back up the footballing ladder after beating Bradford Park Avenue to claim a place in Conf North next season. They won 2-1 in the Unibond Premier play-off, with the assistance of ex-Bull Danny Davidson, in front of 2,208 at Bradford's Horsfall Stadium.
