News Round Up

Ex-Bull Michael McIndoe is reported to be the subject of a bidding war between a number of Championship clubs after Coventry granted him a free transfer in the January window. He is currently on loan at MK Dons after failing to fit into Aidy Boothroyd's plans. Lincoln defender Kern Miller, currently sidelined with a broken jaw, had been training with Barnsley prior to the attack with his Imps contract expiring in January.

Plymouth have confirmed that the majority of their office staff have received outstanding wages after their bank account was unfrozen following the adjournment of their winding up proceedings. Players wages have been paid in part and they say they are making 'strenuous efforts' to meet the remainder and December's wages. Bristol Rovers are said to have interviewed Martin Foyle for their vacant managerial job.

Chippenham Town are the latest side to announce a major cut in their playing budget. The Zamaretto League side are to cut their wage bill by 20%, a move that is likely to see at least four players leave the club. Rotherham have signed former QPR winger Chris Arthur on a two month deal. The free agent has been without a club since leaving Loftus Road 18 months ago.

Southend say they have no immediate plans to replace departed assistant boss Tommy Widdrington, but deny the move was a cost-cutting measure.
