Bowman pleased with his goal

Striker Ryan Bowman scored Hereford's first goal this afternoon and after the game he spoke to BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"I'd missed a chance just before and I was a bit upset with myself so I was just hoping to get another chance as soon as possible," said Bowman

"So when I saw Marley open up I just made a run and thankfully he found me and I put it into the back of the net."

Just after half time Cambridge went 2-1 ahead.

"The last two games, especially Dartford when they scored just after half time, all of our heads dropped.

"Today having scored a goal already I thought we definitely should get back into it.

"And once we got the second goal I thought we were going to win the game."

Sam Clucas scored the second Hereford goal.

"He scored with his weaker foot. It was a good volley. He took it well."

Marlon Jackson added two more in the space of two minutes after missing a penalty in the first half.

"He came in at half time, he was disappointed. Everyone told him he'd get another chance.

"But in the first ten minutes he got his two goals."
