Former Bulls keeper Brian Thomas has rejoined Welsh Premier side Afan Lido as player/coach. The 37 year old made his Bulls debut as a raw 17 year old at Wrexham in 1993. Another former Bulls keeper, loanee Jon Sheffield, has joined Southern League side Tiverton Town as goalkeeper coach. Now 44, Sheffield played eight times for the Bulls on loan from Cambridge in 1994 and will combine the role with his own long standing coaching school.
Gateshead have announced two more signings, with former midfielder James Marwood agreeing a new deal after initially rejecting terms earlier in the summer. Also signing is defender Dan Smith, brother of manager Anth, who spent part of the 08/09 season with the club.
