Cambridge manager Jez George will have several selection headaches ahead of their trip to Edgar Street tomorrow.
Star striker Tom Elliott, who started the season with five goals in four games, is expected to miss out after injury ruled him out of last week's draw with Telford. The former Leeds trainee is back in training but George is unlikely to risk him after signing teenager Michael Thalassitis on loan in the week, while fellow forward Sam Smith is ruled out with concussion.
George will have teenage defender Jonathon Thorpe back in contention after he made a largely successful return from knee surgery in last week's game, only to come off with 10 minutes left after landing awkwardly. Thorpe missed training early in the week but is considered fit enough to feature. However fellow defenders Scott Garner, who has a knee problem, and Blaine Hudson, who need surgery on his groin, will continue to miss out.
Former Barnet and Luton winger Rossi Jarvis is expected to feature at least from the bench after missing the last game with a dead leg, and fellow midfielder Billy Gibson has a groin injury that will rule him out, while there is little word on the three players widely believed to have been suspended by the club.
George has, so far, refused to speak on rumours about defender James Jennings, and midfielders Robbie Willmott and Adriano Moke, allegedly barring them from first team activities prior to last week's game. The local press report that George is likely to select the same starting XI, leaving the trio still out in the cold.
