FL Warn Boston Over Creditors

The Football League have warned Boston that the club must pay it's footballing creditors in full ahead of it's proposed CVA.

The League has written to the club expressing concern at the club's proposed future, adding that the League's own proposals to the club were rejected, with a statement on the Football League website stating: "Firstly, having considered the terms of the CVA proposals, it appears that there is little prospect of Football Creditors being paid in full or, significantly, payment in full being secured.

"Whilst The Football League put forward modifications to resolve this issue, these were rejected by the creditors. This causes great concern to The Football League because it is a requirement of the League's Articles and Insolvency Policy that football creditors are paid in full.

"Secondly, the letter reserves the League's position with regard to the date of application of Sporting Sanctions. These matters will now be considered by The Football League's Board of Directors."

Rumours have circulated since the inception of the club's proposed CVA that they will file the necessary documents during tomorrow's game if the on-pitch performance is not enough to preserve their League status - a course of action that would, theoretically, trigger the 10-point deduction this season rather than next.

Meanwhile, tomorrow's game with Wrexham is a near sell-out. Wrexham have sold over 10,000 tickets for the match, while Boston have sold around 600.
