MK Dons, Lincoln, Bristol Rovers, and Shrewsbury will contest the play-offs. MK Dons beat Accrington 3-1 in their final match at the National Hockey Stadium, Lincoln beat managerless Chester 2-0, and Bristol Rovers beat Hartlepool 2-1. Shrewsbury's 2-2 draw with Grimsby was enough to pip Stockport to the final spot on goal difference even though Stockport beat Darlington 5-0.
Rochdale will be pleased with their 9th place finish, ending the season by coming back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Peterboro. Wycombe's indifferent finish to the season continued as they lost 2-1 at Barnet. In the other match, Bury drew with Mansfield 1-1 in front of 3,532 paying £5.
