Former Lincoln and Peterboro boss Keith Alexander will become Bury's new Director of Football. Alexander had been one of the prime candidates for the vacant job at Aldershot but will assist manager Chris Casper instead. The club have lost the services of goalkeeper Andy Warrington to League Two new boys Rotherham, and have already released their other senior keeper.
Brentford have named former striker Andy Scott as assistant to new manager Terry Butcher. Scott spent three years as a player at Griffin Park until 2001, and leaves a youth coaching post at Leyton Orient for the job. Crawley claim they are free to carry on in the Conference despite having a CVA deadline looming. The club claim that the Conference have confirmed that they will be allowed to continue even if they miss the deadline.
Wrexham have confirmed Brian Carey as their new manager, with Academy boss Steve Weaver as his assistant. The club have released goalkeeper Mike Ingham and defender Lee Roache but nine other have been offered new deals. Keith Curle expects Torquay will not offer him a new contract after their relegation. Colin Lee is expected to be confirmed as manager for next season.
Barnet are expected to add Guiliano Grazioli to the list of released players, according to the local press, taking the total to 11 released. Ex-Bull Nicky Nicolau has been offered a new contract after 'a complete about-turn' in manager Paul Fairclough's thinking. Lincoln have recorded their highest average gate for 30 years this season. They cracked the 5,000 barrier for the first time since the 1976/7 season with an average of 5,176.
