Ex-Bull Darren Blewitt missed a penalty for Billericay as they lost the Ryman League play-off shoot-out to Bromley Town for the final Conference South spot.
Accrington are to release Sean Doherty, Mauro Almeida, and Michael Welch as their contracts expire. Midfielder Doherty has been injury prone since his arrival last summer, and central defender Almeida hasn't featured since March, but fellow central defender Welch was a two-year regular in the starting line-up. Stanley have just four players under contract for next season, with one-time Bulls target Paul Mullin one of those.
Crawley have sacked co-manager John Yems under controversial circumstances. Yems told the local press that he was told he was axed for recent results but the club have only one contracted player after every other contract expired last weekend, and Yems believes he was pushed for other reasons. The club are yet to complete the terms of the CVA with just three days left.
Meanwhile, the perennial 'do we or don't we hate them anymore?' Cardiff will release 17 players in a bid to cut costs, and seek a bargain hunt mentality. Ex-Bull Paul Parry, a last day consolation scorer, is not expected to be amongst the casualties although the Bulls may be both benefitted by the cull and a victim of the bargain hunt.
Notts County have released six players including keeper Saul Deeney, memorable to Bulls fans for his displays for Burton Albion, and former captain Alan White who spent the end of the season at Peterboro.
Bournemouth have released one time Bulls loanee Marcus Browning after five years at the club. Browning, 36, scored five goals in seven games as a forward in a loan spell from Bristol Rovers in 1992 but has more recently played as a defensive midfielder. He is one of 11 released by the south coast club.
