News Round Up

Bradford caretaker boss David Wetherall wants to return to playing rather than manage the side full-time, and has pointed out Bantams legend Stuart McCall as his choice for the manager's chair.

Wrexham are expected to give Brian Carey the managers job on a permanent basis following their escape from relegation. Carey collected 23 of 63 points - a similar record to predecessor Denis Smith this season.

Some good news for Boston fans: today's Telegraph states that "Manager Steve Evans is departing for Chester". Chester fans are furious at the suggestion, wanting ex-player Peter Jackson as the new manager.

Accrington manager John Coleman is looking for at least eight new faces this summer, and will try to secure season long loan deals for Liverpool pair Godwin Antwi and David Martin. Ian Dunbavin has signed a new contract with the club but talks are ongoing with several more out of contract players including ex-Bull David Brown, who scored on Saturday.

Crewe have given former Bulls loanee Matt Bailey another one year deal. The lanky forward scored one goal in eight games at Edgar Street but has not featured for Crewe's senior side in his two year stay at Gresty Road. Rotherham have released Michael Keane, David Worrell, and Theo Streete as they prepare for life in League Two.
