After Saturday's game at Plainmoor, Torquay United supporters staged a pitch invasion and many of them came over to the Hereford fans and thanked them for bringing over 700 followers to watch the home sides' last game in League Two before they move to the Conference.
There were scenes of sadness and many Bulls' fans will have had much sympathy for the Torquay fans. It was ten years ago this weekend since Hereford United was relegated to the Conference.
Of the Hereford players, Tamika Mkandawire, Rob Purdie and Simon Travis all came over to the Hereford end. Whether it was a fond fairwell from these three players remains to be seen.
Plainmoor was an old stadium but not without atmosphere partly because the stands were close to the pitch.
Meanwhile Tamika Mkandawire received a seven for his efforts at the game. He took over the captains arm band after Ben Smith had been subbed.
The remainder of the Hereford players were awarded a five or a six.
But the most worrying stat was that Hereford had just two shots on target.
