Big Three Points says Bartlett

Hereford United captain Adam Bartlett was delighted to have taken three points this afternoon against Barnet especially given the wet and windy conditions.

"Big three points," Bartlett told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"It was difficult to deal with the conditions. A little bit windy and a downpour before and during the game.

"It was a horrible pitch and the lads were struggling to stand up and there were a few challenges going up there but we stuck to our guns and put in a solid, determined performance."

Barnet scored with an unfortunate own goal from Richard Rose which the referee didn't immediately give.

"It was a good few yards (inches?-ed) behind the line to be fair. I tried to pull it back and I don't think the linesman gave it - it was the referee and that was to the reaction of their players.

"We all knew it was a goal, but if you can get away with it you get away with it but we didn't have that little bit of luck.

"We came back second half and won the game as it was anyway.

"It was a bit scrappy but that acceptable with the conditions but with three points we're happy again."
