Torquay beat Shrewsbury 2-1 to stretch their safety gap to nine with seven games left. Macclesfield drew 1-1 with Aldershot to go 12 points clear alongside the Imps.
At the top Rochdale lost 2-0 at fifth placed Chesterfield. Notts County beat Bury 5-0, with the Shakers dropping out of the play-offs. Bournemouth beat Bradford 1-0 to open a five point gap inside the automatic spots over fourth place Rotherham, who lost 2-1 at home to Port Vale. Aldershot's draw moves them into the play-offs on goal difference from the Shakers, with Dagenham two points behind after beating Accrington 3-1. Shrewsbury are now down to twelth, just eight points ahead of the Bulls, after five straight losses.
In the Conference Luton beat Stevenage 1-0 to cut the lead to two points, with the Hatters playing one game more. Grays are down after drawing 0-0 with Kettering, while Forest Green slip back into the relegation spots after losing 1-0 at Eastbourne. Kidderminster lost 3-2 at Altrincham.
At the bottom of League One Stockport drew 1-1 with Walsall and are within two games of relegation. Wycombe lost 2-1 at home to Huddersfield and have nine points to make up, while Southend had a goalless draw with Yeovil and have three points to catch up. Gillingham lost 1-0 to Oldham to see them dumped in the bottom four with the Latics escaping up to 17th.
