Veteran boss Lennie Lawrence has become Technical Director at Edgar Street.
Jamie Pitman will remain as manager until the end of the season with Lawrence telling the official site: "Football has been my life so I jumped at the chance to pass on some of my experience to a young manager like Jamie. He's in charge but it's my job to help guide him through some of the challenges that lay ahead,"
Russell Hoult will remain as Pitman's assistant with chairman David Keyte confirming message board rumours that Lawrence had been approached some weeks ago.
Lawrence, 63, has most recently been Football Consultant at Carshalton, where he cut his teeth as a manager, after leaving Bristol Rovers in the summer when it was felt that Paul Trollope no longer needed his experience. Trollope was sacked yesterday.
