The importance of having someone at games with first aid experience can make all the difference when a player is injuried or taken ill.
Recently a 26 year old player collapsed during a game in Gloucestershire and was only saved by an off duty paramedic who happened to have a deflibilator in his car.
Statistics suggest that only 5% of adults have any formal first aid training.
Would you know what to do if a family member, friend or person in front of you collapsed? Could you save their life?
The course, which is entitled 'Basic First Aid For Sport' and runs over three consecutive Thursday evenings, starts on November 8th at 6.30pm at the HFA's Ted Powell Building just off Widemarsh Common.
