Sky Sports is reporting that Nottingham Forest are interested in Sam Clucas who only left Edgar Street at the end of last season.
The 22 year old winger signed for Mansfield recently and in a pre-season friendly against Forest is said to have impressed manager Billy Davies.
Hereford United are due a fee for Clucas which is expected to be decided at a tribunal.
