Turner - Pressure on Rovers

Hereford United coach Graham Turner has pushed the pressure onto the opposition for tonight's match at Forest Green Rovers, kick off 7.45pm.

The Bulls won their first match of the season whilst Rovers lost 1-0 to Woking, and are yet to collect a point. Turner reckons the pressure is on them to go for the points, as being stuck on zero is a horrible situation to be in.

Despite the situation, he is not expecting an easy game. Turner told the Evening News: "It is going to be particularly tough at Forest Green, who are the nearest thing we've got to a local derby, and they have got a very experienced side. They've signed Gary Owers and Alan McLoughlin so they have got some real experience in there.

"But we are going there with a bit of confidence and I always think that sides that lose on the opening day of the season are under an extra bit of pressure -- it's horrible to be sat with no points."

Of the Farnborough match, Hereford's boss was pleased with the outcome but sees room for improvement.

"I'm delighted with the result but we can improve and get better," he said. "Defensively in the main we coped quite well at the back and the pleasing thing were the goals from Jamie Pitman. We caught up very quickly from the back and got players into the box in support as well."

Both sides are likely to be unchanged as Hereford again miss John Grant and Ben Smith. Former Crystal Palace player Andrew Martin, who came on for the final minute of Saturday's game, is on trial at Edgar Street and is included in the squad once again.
