Can Hereford hold their position?
There are ten mid-week Conference fixtures this week. Last night Telford had a surprising 3-1 win at Stevenage. This meant that Hereford remain in eighth position, but they could drop a place or two if results tonight go in favour of certain teams just below them although they will have a game in hand.
Burton probably have the best chance to move up as they should beat Forest Green at home. Barnet could also move up if they can defeat Margate at Dover. Farnborough travel to Yeovil but will do well to get even a point. They need to win by two clear goals to go above Hereford.
Forest Green have appointed Colin Addison as their new manager to replace Nigel Spink who was sacked after last Saturdays defeat by Chester. Addison had two spells as manager at Hereford, firstly in the early 1970s and more recently during the 1990/91 season. He still lives in Hereford.
