Turner surprised at margin

Hereford United boss Graham Turner was delighted with yesterday's 3-0 win at Nuneaton Borough.

He is quoted as saying: "That was probably the best we've played and it surprised me how we've managed to get through such an experienced Nuneaton defence.

However, it wasn't such an upbeat note from Nuneaton manager Steve Burr, who commented: "How we can go from the best we've played to the worst in a week is beyond me. No one came out of the game with any credit except Steve Hodgson who kept the score down."

Hodgson was making his debut in the Boro' goal and made several good saves in the opening period before conceding efforts from Steve Guinan, Paul Parry and Jamie Pitman in the second half.

Meanwhile, the FIFA transfer windows will not apply to the Conference after FA chief executive Adam Crozier told the league to carry on as normal. Conference supremo John Moules said: "FIFA have made no decision as yet, so that's why the FA have told us there is no change to the current system."
