Beware of Backlash warns Turner
Graham Turner has sent a message to his side to be wary of a Forest Green side that have hit some good form lately. He warns that FGR, who have had some good recent results, may still be aggrieved by the heavy defeats suffered at the hand of Hereford United last season.
"Forest Green will be wound up for this one because of what happened last season. There will still be a little bit of hurt. They are also having a good run of late and they will want to keep that going," he told the Evening News.
He also went on to say that he feels it is good that they have the chance to hit straight back following their defeat on the weekend. "It's a nice situation for us to have a game so quickly after the disappointment of the FA Cup, especially at home in front of our supporters."
"We did not play particularly well against Boston, and we basically allowed them to dictate most of the game, but that has gone now and the FA Cup is out of our system. We have to concentrate on the league and improve on our league position."
Last season United defeated their Gloucestershire rivals 5-1 and Edgar Street and 7-1 in the return fixture at the Lawn.
