Williams move to Hammers confirmed
Former Hereford United player Gavin Williams is to move to West Ham from Yeovil.
The transfer has been confirmed this morning by West Ham.
Their website reports the following:
West Ham United confirms the signing of 24 year-old midfielder Gavin Williams from Yeovil Town for a fee of £250,000.
Welshman Williams began his career with Hereford United before joining Yeovil in May 2002.
Gavin described the transfer as a fabulous move to a great club.
It is not yet certain whether £250,000, less £22,500, is the amount from which the Bulls will receive a percentage.
If correct a cheque for over £50,000 should arrive at Edgar Street shortly.
