Giantkilling team back at Edgar Street

Several members of the Hereford United team that defeated Newcastle United all those years ago will be back in Hereford on Saturday for a reunion.

Ronnie Radford and Ricky George who scored the goals in Hereford's 1972 epic victory will be at the celebration along with central defender Nick McCloughin who will be flying in from the United States for the event. It is believed several other players from Colin Addison's squad are to attend.

Some of the guests are hoping to watch the Trophy match against Hucknall. They may be presented to the crowd before the game but this is not yet confirmed.

A reunion will be held afterwards at the Left Bank Restaurant.
