The Hereford United captain, Tony James, seems pleased with the signing of Brian Smikle from West Bromwich Albion.
18 year old Smikle has joined the Bulls on "work experience" until the end of the season.
He made his debut at Eastwood in the Trophy game and his first start at Edgar Street last Tuesday in the replay.
"It was a bit of a shock to his system last Saturday. I think he wondered what he had come to, but on a decent pitch like ours he managed to show what he's got and hopefully with a couple more games he will get the confidence to express himself a little bit more," James told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"He could be a good asset for us."
