P R Parkabull is to stand as a candidate for the Hereford constituency in the General Election expected to be held on May 5th. Liberal Democrat Paul Keetch currently hold the seat with a majority over the Conservatives just under 1,000.
Parkabull, as he is affectionately known to his friends, was brought up in Hereford but is living in Barnet at present. A long-time supporter of Hereford United Football Club, he recently told Bulls News that his aim in standing for the election was to highlight the difficulties the football team finds itself especially in regard to the possible redevelopment of the ground.
Well-known for his public relations skills, Parkabull works in the music business in London but travels to Hereford to watch games as often as he can. He tends to keep a low-profile but often can be spotted wearing his parka which is said to have seen better days. Allegedly it was worn on that great day back in 1972 when Newcastle United came to Edgar Street.
It is believed that the candidates headquarters will be at Leg-ends. From there Parkabull is expected to travel the constituency in his new (to him) Peugeot Estate. His helpers are said to be known as his invasion force.
The result of the last election was as below:
Paul Keetch Liberal Democrat 18,244
Virginia Taylor Conservative 17,276
David Hallam Labour 6,739
Clive Easton UK Independence 1,184
David Gillett Green 1,181
Majority 968
