It's Stevenage in the Play-offs

Hereford United will face Stevenage Borough in the play-offs for a place in the Conference final.

The Bulls drew 0-0 this afternoon with Accrington Stanley, but have finished second in the League as Carlisle were defeated by Exeter. Full report shortly.

Aldershot won their game against Scarborough, but Morecambe lose out as they could only draw at Tamworth. Stevenage defeated Leigh RMI to reach fifth place.

The Top of the Conference:

1 Barnet 42 46 86
2 Hereford 42 27 74
3 Carlisle 42 37 73
4 Aldershot 42 16 73
5 Stevenage 42 13 72
6 Exeter 42 21 71
7 Morecambe 42 19 71

"I think second is great," John Trewick told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "It gives everybody a lift, and it's Stevenage in the play-offs."

Although Graham Turner used three substitutions this afternoon, all Hereford's players came through the game with Accrington without injury according to Trewick, the Hereford United coach.

"Danny Williams has had a full game and Leroy Williams has had a good half and I think the injuries are clearing up not too bad.

"Simon Travis has a little bit of a problem with his groin area but we are trying to manage that and Tony James is on the way back."
