With a virtual capacity crowd expected at Edgar Street, Hereford United will take to the pitch with the backing of over 7,000 supporters.
Stevenage have not taken all the tickets they were offered, so Hereford fans will be on all four sides of the ground. The Boro have made excuses that they can't get to Hereford for the 7.45pm start on a Friday, so their support will be sadly lacking and probably unable to give their side anything like the superb support Hereford received from its 1400 or so fans last Monday.
The gates at Edgar Street are expected to open around 6.15pm, but as it is an all-ticket match queues should be relatively short. However parking next to the Stadium in Merton Meadow could quickly fill up and late arriving fans may have to park elsewhere, possibly either in the market, in the close-by multi-story, or across the A49 at the Courtyard.
As at Broadhall Way, Hereford United fans are being asked to wear their Hereford shirts and bring baloons, white if possible, and any other suitable coloured items to help make the atmosphere. The Sky cameras could find it difficult to miss the enthusiasm of the home fans with fans on every side of the ground.
The game itself has to decide which team goes forward to the Play-off final. If the sides are level at 90 minutes, then extra time will be played. If after another 30 minutes the sides are still on equal terms then the dreaded penalty shoot-out will apply.
This evening Hereford United have an excellent chance of getting to the play-offs. The supporters can help make that dream come true.
