Bristol City defeated Hereford United 4-0 in the Bulls' first friendly of the season at Edgar Street this afternoon.
City looked a class above the Bulls and were three up by half time with their new signing Marcus Stewart having a hand in all their goals.
Hereford brought on several young trialists during the second half and for a spell held City but the visitors completed the scoring close to full time.
Despite reports this morning there was no sign of Coldicott, but new signings Jeannin, Brady and Beckwith all played for the Bulls.
1163 watched the game including a good following of 317 from Bristol.
Hereford Line-up:
Mawson, Green, Carl Jones, Alex Jeannin, Mkandawire, James, Jon Brady, Stanley, Purdie, Stansfield, Carey-Bertram.
On the bench:
Dean Beckwith, Andy Williams, Sam Gwynne, Michael Parkin, Rob Williams, Rees Smith and Tony Collins.
Carl Jones may be from Hartlepool. A player with that name was listed as No 29 in their squad list but didn't play for their first team last season.
Michael Parkins (with an s) could be from Cardiff City. But as usual at this stage of the pre-season some of the trialists may not be using their real names so as not to alert other clubs where they are playing.
