The official Hereford United website reports that Chester City goalkeeper Wayne Brown has signed on a season-long loan at Edgar Street.
Brown, 28, who made almost 300 first-team appearances for the Deva Stadium outfit since transferring from non-league side Weston-super-Mare in 1996, earlier turned down a move to Nationwide North promotion favourites Droylsden according to the Worcester News.
The 6ft goalkeeper has plenty of experience and boasts six caps with the semi-professional England National Game XI.
Meanwhile 32 year-old Mark Turner, son of Hereford United manager Graham, is moving from Tamworth to Alfreton.
At 6'0" he is comfortable in either defence or midfield. A strong player, Turner is reputed to enjoy getting forward to add his firepower to the attack.
He began his career with Paget Rangers before a three year spell at Wolves. He moved on to Northampton Town, Telford United, Hereford United, Telford again and Tamworth whom he joined from King's Lynn in 2000.
After missing significant chunks of the past two seasons he came back impressively well for Tamworth at the latter end of last season.
