Following yesterday's friendly Graham Turner, the Hereford United manager, gave his views to the Non-League Paper.
"We could have done with a couple of other games against lower-grade clubs rather than playing against the quality of Bristol City. But when you have the chance of playing against a club of City's status, you have to accept it.
"We have only had seven days' training and there was no shape to our defence, but we will seek to rectify that in training. our aim will be to improve when we play Wrexham on Wednesday and improve further against Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
"Our main aim is to get everything right by the time we open our Conference programme against Scarborough."
The NLP report confirmed that Stacy Caldicott, the ex-Grimsby player, did not take part in the game because of back trouble.
Meanwhile Shaun Harrad, who was featured in an article on this site last Friday, is said to have joined Burton Albion after being released by Notts County.
