Parkins to have trial with Yeovil

One of the trialists at Edgar Street is said to be having a trial with Yeovil this week and might even have played yesterday for the Glovers against Burgess Hill.

Michael Parkins, assuming that is his correct name, came on as a substitute on Saturday against Bristol City.

Formerly with Cardiff City, the twenty year old midfielder was released last May by manager Lennie Lawrence. He was a regular in Cardiff's title winning reserve side last season.

Another of the trialists at Edgar Street on Saturday was a player with the name of Tony Collins.

However there is little known about any player with this name. It could be that he didn't want his real name to be used.

One suggestion is that it was Antonio Corbisiero who was with Swansea Town and reported as having a trial with Hereford United some weeks ago.
