Late this afternoon all the signs are that Darlington are highly unlikely to sign Andy Ferrell.
Although he returned north after Saturday's Hereford friendly, he did not play for Darlington yesterday.
It now appears that the Quakers have two other players they could sign who are midfielders. One is Carlos Logan, the other a trialist.
Dave Hutchinson of Quakers Mad wrote the following:
Ater a successfull trial period Carlos Logan has been offered a contract by Darlington manager Dave Hodgson, Logan is now pondering the terms offered. The Quakers will be having the official photo call tomorrow, it is hoped Logan will have agreed to sign by then. There is no news regarding the future of trialist Andy Ferrell. The combative left sided midfielder seemed to impress in his games but no news on any moves his way have been forthcoming.
