Aldershot pulled themselves off the bottom with a 2-1 win at home to York thanks to a late Darren Barnard goal. Altrincham are fast becoming the whipping boys of the division, the 4-0 defeat at lowly Cambridge being their third heavy defeat in four games. Grays go top with a 3-1 win at bottom side Crawley as Exeter suffer a shock 2-1 home defeat against struggling Burton, with late goals from Darren Stride and Jon Shaw sealing the win. Accrington won 2-1 at Dagenham to go second, David Brown scoring his fifth goal in an impressive start to the season. Canvey beat Southport 2-1, and Kidderminster won at Gravesend by the same margin. Morecambe stunned Stevenage 4-1, with Stevenage getting their fourth player sent off this season. Scarboro beat Forest Green with a solitary Neil Redfearn penalty, and Woking beat Tamworth by the only goal with Justin Richards finishing off.
Today's results leave the Bulls in ninth place, seven points off the top. Worringly, only Tamworth (8) and Altrincham (7) have scored fewer goals than the Bulls haul of 11 in 10 games.
