Stansfield Faces Month On Sidelines

Adam Stansfield is facing up to a month on the sidelines after picking up a groin injury.

Stansfield, the Bulls leading scorer last season, was expected to recover from a minor knock from the previous match, but pulled a muscle in last Friday's training session. Both he and Guy Ipoua are expected to spend time at Lilleshall this week to help resolve their injuries, but neither are anticipated to be fit for the next game against Morecambe.

With Graham Evans substituted at half time at Stevenage with a minor knock and Andy Williams also carrying an injury, the Bulls are left with the prospect of having only Danny Carey-Bertram as a fit striker for Saturday's match. With Rob Purdie expected to be filling in at full back, Jon Brady is likely to start where he finished the last match - as Bertram's strike partner.

Graham Turner is believed to be seeking a temporary reinforcement of his front line but, in order to maximise the number of games any loan player could play, any announcement would probably be delayed until the last minute.
