Defensive concerns for Coleman.

Accrington Stanley Manager John Coleman may have to juggle his defence for the visit of Hereford United to the Interlink stadium next Friday evening, kick-off 7.45pm.

According to This is Accrington, the Stanley boss has admitted that he has defensive concerns hanging over him ahead of Friday's encounter with Hereford United.

Robbie Williams' suspension for accumulating five bookings is triggered this week, and captain Peter Cavanagh, who went down with a recurrence of his ankle injury and had to be carried to the dressing room in the second half against Gravesend last Saturday, is a major doubt.

While Chris Butler is available after a one-match ban, and Michael Welch is a direct replacement for Williams, the defence will be the last area that Coleman would want depleted.

Former Bull Andy Tretton is spending this week on a special rehab course at Lilleshall and will return to the squad after the weekend. It is hoped he will resume full training by the end of the month.

Meanwhile David Brown, the other ex-Bull with Accrington, remains top scorer at the club with five goals. Last week the striker was linked with a possible move to Lincoln City next January. A fee of £15,000 was mentioned.
