Carey-Bertram scores for England

Daniel Carey-Bertram, the Hereford United striker, came off the bench and scored for the England National Game XI against Belgium last night.

As reported earlier another Hereford United player, Tamika Mkandawire, started the game which England won 2-0.

The FA's report includes the following:

Goals in either half sealed the win and will give England great confidence ahead of the second match in February against Italy.

The night started well for Fairclough's men when York City's Andrew Bishop put England in front on 16 minutes.

Substitute Daniel Carey-Bertram, who plies his trade at Hereford United, added a second with 66 minutes on the clock, and England held on for the win.
