Pitch is okay for this evening

Hereford United have confirmed to Bulls News that the game with Port Vale this evening is on.

Currently there is no frost on the pitch and no fog in Hereford and unless the fog rolls back in, as it did in Birmingham last night, the game should take place.

The Offical Port Vale Website has also reported the news:

Although there were doubts yesterday about whether or not our LDV Vans Trophy tie at Hereford would go ahead, we have been informed this morning the game is definitely on.

On Monday (yesterday) morning, the pitch at Edgar Street was reported to have been frozen solid and with more frost forecast overnight, things were not looking too good.

A pitch inspection planned for this morning has now taken place and it seems the pitch is now perfectly playable. The game kicks off at 7.45pm.

For those unable to get to Edgar Street this evening there will be updates but, as far as we are aware at present, no commentary on BBC Hereford and Worcester.
