Bognor on the Rocks after Bulls score Seven

Hereford United will receive £4,000 for defeating Bognor Regis 7-1 this afternoon in the FA Trophy First Round game.

Andy Williams put the Bulls ahead after five minutes. He cut inside from the right and finished with a left foot shot from about 25 yards.

Second goal for the Bulls came on fourteen minutes from Adam Stansfield who ran through the inside left channel before shooting with his right foot from around the edge of the box.

Bognor replied three minutes later when Dan Beck turned the ball into the goal from close quarters.

The home side have had two penalty appeals turned down.

Andy Ferrell was been booked for a late challenge early in the second half.

Hereford were awarded a penalty for hand-ball on 62 minutes. Rob Purdie got the ball into the back of the net but the referee told him to take it again. This time Purdie converted into the top corner.

Craig Stanley booked for dissent.

Guy Ipoua, after a good run, made it 4-0. Stanley made it five fom ten yards out just two minutes later.

Jamie Pitman replaced Ipoua as Williams moved up-front with Stansfield.

Purdie made it six after the Rocks goalkeeper made a meal of clearing a shot.

On 84 minutes Pitman made it seven with a lob over the top of the goalkeeper.

Graham Evans and Danny Carey-Bertram came on late as subs.
