Grays out of Cup

Conference high-flyers Grays Athletic were defeated 3-0 by Mansfield in the FA Cup this evening.

However Grays will be very unhappy with two crucial decisions made by referee Trevor Kettle.

Firstly, after ten or so minutes, he sent one of the Grays players off when everyone else thought it was a yellow card and secondly he awarded Mansfield a penalty when a Grays defender challenged a Mansfield forward.

The two decisions changed the game and Grays must have been livid at the referee.

Meanwhile the fourth official was Mr A Woolmer.

Interviewed on Sky the Grays manager, Mark Stimpson, was not happy about the decisions.

"It would be hard to comment now. I would probably say something I would regret in the morning.

"All I ask from my players is honesty. I just wish some other people were a bit more honest."
