Adam Stansfield came off the bench to score inside two minutes of his introduction to give the Bulls all three points in a scrappy encounter.
Graham Turner made several changes but there was again no place in the 16 for Simon Travis, who confirmed that he was fit. The changed side failed to get a shot on target until Stansfield's strike but certainly showed more effort and passion than last week's match.
The crowd had voted with it's feet after two dismal home defeats - with an attendance of 1,950 showing a loss of home supporters of over a thousand.
