Weymouth have reported a loss of £886,277 for the year to May 2005, trebling the loss made in the previous year.
Chairman Martyn Harrison told the Dorset Echo: "We paid out somewhere in the region of £300,000 to pay off the contracts of a number of players during last season, but their departures, coupled with the arrival of manager Garry Hill, chief executive Gary Calder and coach Kevin Hales have allowed us to move forward."
The £300,000 figure includes an estimated £200,000 paid out to former manager Steve Claridge.
Total outgoings rose by more than £500,000 to £1.29million, but income fell by £15,000 to £561,871. A £300,000 bank loan was also taken out during the season. Gates at the Wessex Stadium are averaging just over 1300, despite the side being top of Conference South.
The club do, however, have assets of just over £2million with the prime asset, the Wessex Stadium, earmarked for development.
