Francis Move Opens Door On Christie Transfer

Kidderminster have signed Watford striker Francino Francis on work experience terms.

The move is likely to mean Iyseden Christie will be allowed to leave, with Rochdale favourites to land the Harriers' top scorer. Manager Mark Yates acknowledged a bid from Rochdale, but refused to allow Christie to leave until a replacement is found: "There is a deal on the table for Iyseden from Rochdale but we haven't given them permission to speak to him yet. If we can get an adequate replacement we are happy with and Rochdale match what we want we might take it further. But as I've said before I'm not prepared to let my better players leave unless it suits us."

Francis, 19, made his full Watford debut in a League Cup match at Wigan earlier in October and has seen action twice off the bench, but is yet to open his goalscoring account. He is described as a 'powerhouse' forward with a good eye for goal.
