Macclesfield Chairman Rob Bickerton has admitted that the club may not get out of its current financial hole.
Around £50,000 had been donated to the club by supporters in order to pay a £300,000 bill following an FA inquiry, and the club sold star striker Jon Parkin to Hull for an initial £100,000 fee - leaving the League Two side only about halfway towards their target figure.
A string of events have been organised for the Save Our Silkmen campaign with an all-star game featuring Gianfranco Zola joining bucket collections at both Goodison Park and Old Trafford.
With the Bulls due to travel to Moss Rose on January 24th, expect the buckets to be out in force that night.
