Possible fixture backlog

By the middle of this week, Hereford United will have played at least one game less than all the other top Conference teams and two less than Exeter City. And the backlog could get worse if the Bulls make progress in the LDV and/or Trophy. On top of that there is a local cup game against Kington Town to fit in.

Revised List of Fixtures for the next five weeks:

Sat January 21 Conference Crawley Town Home 3pm
Tues January 24 LDV Northern Area Semi-Final Macclesfield Town Away 7.45pm
Sat January 28 Conference Grays Athletic Away 3pm
Tues January 31 Conference Cambridge United Home 7.45pm
Sat February 4 FA Trophy 3rd Round Grays Athletic Home 3pm
Sat February 11 Conference Halifax Town Home 3pm
Sat February 18 Conference Canvey Island Away 3pm
Tues February 21 Conference Aldershot Home 7.45pm OR LDV Area Final first leg
Sat February 25 Conference Stevenage Home 3pm OR FA Trophy 4th Round

Although in theory there are several mid-week slots available, some are unlikely to be used. Tuesday February 7th would be the date for any Trophy replay. Tuesday February 14 is the day before the next Conference International against Italy although that date could probably be used to get the Kington cup game played.

Until the result of the third round game in the Trophy is known it is difficult to plan ahead with certainty. If the Bulls progress then the game against Stevenage will need to be postponed and the following Tuesday (February 28th) set aside in case of a replay.

And there is also the LDV. Should the Bulls defeat Macclesfield, then the first leg of the area final of the LDV will be played on Tuesday February 21. In this case the home game against Aldershot will be postponed. The second leg will be played on March 7th.
